North Kansas City requires permits for all remodels involving structural, electrical, or plumbing changes. The Community Development Department at City Hall on Howell Street manages residential permits.
Bungalow considerations: 1920s NKC bungalows often have knob-and-tube wiring, galvanized plumbing, and inadequate electrical service. We assess infrastructure during our first visit and include necessary upgrades in our scope.
Loft/condo logistics: Urban remodeling involves material transport and building management coordination. We’re experienced with the logistical challenges of NKC’s converted industrial spaces.
